Now you can record 12-bit Blackmagic RAW files onto fast 2.5 inch SSDs, including the latest 7mm U.2 NVMe Enterprise SSDs which transfer data at speeds of up to 900 MB/s!

The optional Blackmagic URSA Mini SSD Recorder allows you to record Cinema DNG or ProRes files on standard 2.5-inch SSD media with the URSA Mini Pro camera! This means you can use commonly available and inexpensive high capacity media! Unlike other types of cards, SSDs are extremely fast, so you can capture 4K and 4.6K RAW files at full resolution. Plus, SSDs come in much larger sizes so you can record more footage without having to change cards! The unique design of the Blackmagic URSA Mini SSD Recorder allows for a direct connection on the back of the URSA Mini Pro, between the camera and the battery. It uses 6G-SDI to connect data to the camera, so everything can be set up and controlled directly from the camera!

NOTE: If you already have the URSA Mini Pro and wish to install the SSD Recorder, you will need to upgrade your camera to version 4.5 so that they can work together. The upgrade can be done from the support page of the Blackmagic Design website and instructions on how to install the unit on the camera are in the Mini URSA Mini Manual on page 161.
